Welcome to the Clinton First United Methodist Web Page.
Our Mission Statement is "To manifest God's word of love through the actions, missions, and ministries of this church to others; to the community and the world.
Vision Statement:
We are called to be God's pople in love to share our faith and faithfulness in making diciples of Jesus Christ and to have a passion for ministry, a passion for Christ, and a passion for service.
The Council of Ministries of the Clinton First United Methodist Church understands and sees as our corporate and personal mission the need to bear our influence in the following precepts;
- 1. We commit to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to our community and to one another through Word and Sacrament. We earnestly desire to proclaim the gospel to the unchurched of our community and in the larger world in the spirit of love and forgiveness.
- 2. We desire to follow and proclaim the doctrine, discipline and programs of the United Methodist Church.
- 3. We commit ourselves to come together as the family of Christ for worship, fellowship and study in an atmosphere of Christian love.
- 4. We see the church as a family of people called together by Christ. And so we see it as our calling to serve the spiritual needs of all people, young and old, with education, nurture and understanding. In addition, we see all persons as children of God, and we desire to serve their temporal and social needs in the community and in the larger world without regard to religious affiliation
- 5. We dedicate ourselves to be good and biblical managers of all the gifts that God has given us; to use these gifts and to see that the Great Commission is carried out as God expects us. We will use our spiritual and financial gifts, our talents, and our time to this end.
