UMCOR Emergency Response The Souper Bowl of Caring is this Sunday. A chronic food emergency grips Southern Africa, with more than six million people at risk. UMCOR's partners, the Middle East Council of Churches has distributed health kits, food and mattresses to Iran earthquake survivors. About 1,200 American Samoans remain in shelters in the wake of tropical cyclone Heta, which ravaged the island region earlier this month.
