The Rev. Anthony Dioh of the S. Edward Pearl Center for Reconciliation and Renewal, Monrovia, Liberia, visited the General Board of Global Ministries in New York Feb. 23, 1998 and briefed staff on the situation in Liberia. He said that although the situation is calm, there is tension over who will control security forces.
He reported that the "children of war" in his country are in need of support as his organization and others like it try to provide therapy for traumatized children and help them become re-integrated into society.
