New UMW Structure Began

Is your local unit ready to move into the new structure? Celebrate the New Stucture will help you. Please read it carefully and order copies for your unit, free for postage, from the Service Center.

Look especially at the description of "The Local Unit Structure." It describes the three options your unit has for its organization: minimum functions structure, basic structure or expanded structure. If you choose the expanded structure, look closely at the two sections describing the new mission coordinators: spiritual growth, social action, education and interpretation, and membership nurture and outreach.

Officer Election

Remember that the officers you elect this Fall need to be in harmony with the new structure.

Annual Meetings

We strongly encourage your attendance at district and conference Annual Meetings and officer training events to get more details on the new structure. For complete information, be sure to order your copy of the 1997-2000 Constitution and Bylaws, and the Local Handbook from the Service Center. Let's celebrate the new structure!
