"Making Diversity Priority" by Carol Marie Herb
The United States government does not represent the only country
trying to prevent further influxes of immigrants and asylum seekers.
The United Kingdom also faces immigration rights issues and problems with
racism against immigrants. The Methodist Church of Great Britain combats this racism and
champions immigrant rights. As this article shows, it's a battle. But, it's
one the Church feels is very necessary.

"Women and Literacy" by Edith Loane

"from education, communication, and spiritual development." So, the World
Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women chose "Women and Literacy"
for the 1997 program and study. This letter contains a worship service to
raise awareness about this issue.
