Global Praise: Sharing Faith Through Global Song
Global Praise is a program of the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church created to gather, receive, and share the songs of the people called Methodists and other Christians around the world.
The Global Praise ministry includes:
- Learning, Listening, & Gathering – through participation in global events and consultations, the collection of recorded and printed resources, immersion experiences in local settings, collaboration with the Global Praise Advisory and Working groups, and through personal conversation with musicians and pastors from around the world.
- Sharing and Teaching – through workshop leadership/sponsorship, printed and recorded resources, web-based resources, and consultations.
- Resources – providing printed, web-based, and recorded resources to engage God’s people in global song in worship, Christian education, and other settings.

Event in Côte d'Ivoire Promotes Cross-Cultural Music Ministry
Cross-cultural sharing to bring about exciting, meaningful United Methodist music ministries was the focus of a week-long encounter at the Methodist University of Cocody (Abidjan) in Côte d'Ivoire.

Global Praise in the East Africa Conference:
April 27-May 12, 2007
Bishop Daniel Wandabula invited the Global Praise Program to develop leadership and curriculum that would enable pastors and musicians from all across the East Africa conference to participate in an intensive music and worship training.
Charles Wesley:
Charles Wesley was one of the founders of Methodism as well as a prolific and profound poet. He wrote thousands of hymns including "Hark! the herald angels sing," "Christ the Lord is risen today," "O for a thousand tongues to sing," and "Love divine, all loves excelling."
