Remembering Loved Ones Who Have Died from AIDS

Web Memorials Free of Charge

We post memorials to persons who have died of HIV/AIDS-related causes free of charge. At this time, we also do free HTML markup posting. We reserve the right not to post a memorial if it seems inappropriate for this sacred space, but do not expect that we will have to invoke that right.

How to Submit a Memorial

Please state that you give permission to Health and Welfare Ministries to post the memorial on its AIDS Memorial Web Site and that this post does not violate confidentiality in terms of a person's AIDS diagnosis and its impact on the person's loved ones. Note any other stipulations also concerning reproduction of the memorial by others.

2. Memorials should be 250-750 words long.

3. Memorials should include the name of the person who died and, if possible, the birth and death dates, at the beginning of the memorial.

4. Memorials should include the name of the author(s) and the date they were written at the end of the memorial.

5. Memorials may be narratives, letters, poetry... a variety of forms. Graphics that add to the statement of the memorial, such as photos of the loved one and/or his or her quilt panel(s) may be included. These will be in GIF or JPG format on the web, not to exceed 50,000 bytes.

6. Memorials are to be appropriate for this sacred space and for persons of all ages to read.
