Venezuela Floods 1999-- UMCOR's Response

Residents of Naiguat on Venezuela's north coast wait for water from a cistern truck. The area, hard hit by flooding and mudslides in December, may be without potable water for months or even years to come. The United Methodist Committee on Relief is working together with Church World Service, the relief agency of the U.S. National Council of Churches, and Action by Churches Together, an ecumenical coalition, to provide assistance to flood victims in Venezuela.
